They have cared for children ranging from six months to 15 years old—including twins and multiples—and are highly skilled in supporting neurodivergent children and those with diverse developmental needs. Currently pursuing a Master of Social Work and holding a Master of Arts from USC, Nyxie is committed to a compassionate, developmentally informed approach, using trauma-informed strategies to ensure every child feels safe, respected, and genuinely seen.
In their free time, Nyxie enjoys staying grounded through nature walks, mindfulness, and creative projects like art and journaling. They are a lifelong learner who enjoys listening to podcasts about mythology and literature, exploring new music, and staying connected to multicultural communities through their fluency in Spanish and conversational skills in Mandarin and French.
When working with children, Nyxie prioritizes a playful, child-led environment where creativity and curiosity can flourish. They love getting messy with art projects, engaging in sensory-focused activities, and diving into imaginative games that follow the child's unique interests. By balancing this sense of wonder and silliness with firm, age-appropriate boundaries, Nyxie ensures that children feel both secure in their routines and empowered to explore the world around them.
