Julie has 5 years of experience in childcare in private care, preschool, elementary school settings, and swim lessons. They have experience working with children aged 1-11 years old.
 
Julie enjoys spending their free time cooking, swimming, knitting, sewing, hiking, and spending time outdoors. She also really enjoys school. 

When working with kiddos, Julie loves going to parks and being outdoors to help establish a deep connection with nature. She is also very artsy and enjoys process-based arts and crafts that allow kiddos to enjoy the act of creating. Julie loves reading and imaginative play when the weather doesn't align with outside play.

Julie has a childcare philosophy of free play and enjoys engaging with each child's interests to help them have positive experiences during their time together. 

No need to feed your sitter, but if you're ordering takeout and want to include them, Julie is always happy to enjoy some gnocchi and fresh poke.

 
Education: 
Julie has a degree in Psychology and a degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Social-Emotional Learning from the University of Portland and will be seeking their Masters in the Art of Teaching in 2026.
